What your body language reflects
Intrigued by the nuanced expressions and the expressive potential of body language evident in daily interactions, this project explores the/its multifaceted nature —both deliberate and subconscious— as a reflection of individuals in the present moment.
It contends that body language transcends mere physical positioning, serving as a rich tapestry revealing one's innermost thoughts, emotions, and conditions. The objective of this artwork is to encapsulate these non-verbal communication in a point in time and space, through visual and spatial representation. These spatial constructs serve not as immediate identifiers but rather as revelatory instruments, prompting reflection on conventional notions of "correct," "ideal," and "universal" posture; can these unique forms represent an individual's "ideal" state as a chair?
For this project, participants were tasked to depict their postures according to instructions. Drawing from their interpretations and choices of elements such as materials, dimensions, and proportions, Rhino was utilized to translate their drawings into intricate 3D renderings.
